BackstockHQ is the operating system we built to run our own grocery business on Walmart Marketplace — inventory, WFS shipping, repricing, and every dollar Walmart owes us back. It ran our warehouse first. Now it's almost ready to run yours.
One suite · one story
Six modules, one system — each one exists because we needed it ourselves. No feature in BackstockHQ was designed in a conference room.
Best-by dates tracked from check-in, cover planning that knows when stock dies, inbound WFS shipments built and reconciled to the unit. Built for grocery — works for everything.
Walmart owes sellers money constantly. We file for lost inbound, damaged stock, overweight fee errors, and short-paid claims — daily, with AI-drafted casework.
Buy-box webhooks, per-item walk-away floors computed from real fees and disposal costs, liquidation modes with expiry deadlines, and learned price ceilings Walmart won't tell you about.
Pageviews, conversion, quality-score drops, and out-of-stock verdicts — wired directly into pricing and replenishment decisions, not parked on a dashboard.
Receiving with expiration capture, tag printing, box building, courier-scan truth (stock leaves the books when the driver takes it — not before).
Claims casework, customer-message drafting with delivery evidence attached, and a daily anomaly sentinel that reads the whole business every morning.
The flagship
Claim windows on inbound discrepancies run as short as ten days. Every week they expire on money that was already yours:
Planned pricing: you pay nothing until Walmart pays you.
We built this engine to recover our own money first — it files our claims every single day. A "see what you're owed" audit comes with launch.
Why we exist
Greg Greenwald · Founder, Greenwald Brands
I've sold online for more than a decade. When we moved our grocery business to Walmart Marketplace, the tools we needed simply didn't exist — nothing tracked expiration dates, nothing understood WFS, and money Walmart owed us just… evaporated. So we built our own system, piece by piece, on the warehouse floor where it had to work.
BackstockHQ runs our business today — orders our trucks, ships our boxes, prices our catalog, and files our claims while we sleep. We're productizing it because at Walmart's own seller conference, their marketplace API team looked at what we'd built and told us other sellers need it too.
Walmart solution-provider verification in progress — application filed September 2026. BackstockHQ is developed by Greenwald Brands, an active Walmart Marketplace seller.
Straight answers
One — us. Every number on this page comes from running our own Walmart business on this software, not from a case study. Early-access sellers will be our first outside users, which is exactly why early access comes with founder-level attention.
It was built by a grocery seller, which is stricter. Expiration dates flow from the receiving bench through replenishment, pricing, and liquidation decisions. If you sell anything with a date on it, no other Walmart tool knows what to do with that. If you don't, everything else still applies.
Suite pricing will be announced at launch. The recovery module is planned as performance-based — you pay nothing until Walmart pays you.
We're completing Walmart's solution-provider verification now. Early-access sellers get in as that completes — the request form below is the line.
Leave your email and we'll reach out as verification completes. No spam, no drip campaign — one seller talking to another when it's ready.
